    FAQs

    Course Duration

    Monday – Friday Arrive at 11.00 am / Depart at 11.00 am

    3-day / 2-night Arrive at 10.30am / Depart at 3.30 pm (or sooner if required)

    Weekend Arrive at 7.00 pm / Depart at 4.00 pm (no Friday evening meal provided)

    For different length stays, we will agree start and finish times with you

    Seasonal Pricing

    We charge different prices for visits at different times of the year, based on the academic year.  This year’s seasons are as follows:

    LOW SEASON 

    19 Nov 2018- 24 Feb 2019

    MID SEASON

    3 Sep – 18 Nov 2018
    Easter Holidays & May Half-Term (based on Cardiff Council school holiday dates)
    25 Feb – 24 Mar 2019
    22 Jul – 1 Sep 2019

    HIGH SEASON

    25 Mar – 21 July 2019
    Except Easter Holidays & May Half-Term (based on Cardiff Council school holiday dates)

    Minimum Charge

    There is a minimum charge for residential groups, equivalent to 8 participants (6 participants for Cardiff Council operated schools and youth centres)

    Free Leader Places

    We offer 2 free leader places for groups of up to 20 participants, 3 free leader place for groups of between 21-30 participants, etc.

    We charge for additional leaders at the participant rate

    For special needs groups we offer double the number of free leader places listed above, with additional leaders at 50% of the participant rate

    Visiting staff to participant ratio is the responsibility of the visiting organisation.  Please let us know on the form if you wish to discuss this.

    Additional Information

    The course fee includes instruction, specialist equipment and in-course transport

    Travel to and from the centre is the responsibility of the group

    Groups need to provide their own packed lunch/drink for the first day (except for weekend stays)
